Rupin pass trek:
Rupin Pass trek is a very famous high-altitude trek among the Himalayas. At an altitude of 15250 feet Rupin Pass trek offers trails through magnificent fir forests along the Rupin River. The gully is the most beautiful and famous part of the trek and climbing it is a way more miraculous experience.
Day 1 :
Drive from Shimla to Jiskun- Around 6 am in morning you can take a bus from the old bus stand in Shimla heading towards Jiskun village which is the base camp for the trek. It is a 10 hour drive from Shimla. The route to Jiskun goes through a town which is named as Rohru with a river aside, the river Pabbar. The scenic chainwheel valley is a complete offroad journey.
Day 2:
Trek from Jiskun to Jhaka- After a walk to the Jiskun village you can plan the route for the trek. It’s a 3-and-a-half km walk to Jhaka, the highest and the last village on the Rupin Pass trek. The scenery changes frequently. You will reach Jhaka village at around 12 noon. After having lunch and some rest, you can go for a walk to the village to learn about its culture and architecture. Jhaka is also known as the drooping village. The dwellings at Jhaka are built by their traditional technique called Kathkuni which prevents the buildings from being harmed by earthquakes. This construction technique is prevalent in the isolated hills of North India. Kuldevi temple of Jhaka is a wooden hand-carved building and has amazing views.
Dodital Lake trek-
Dodital Lake Trek is also an easy level trek as it is good for beginners. It is surrounded by lush green grasslands with steep-sided slopes.
Kafni Glacier Trek-
It is the most beautiful trek as the glistening rivers melt from the glaciers flowing down making valleys and canyons.
It is also a moderate-level trek with versatile weather.
Kuari Pass Trek-
The adventure of Kuari Pass trek starts from Haridwar to Joshimath which is about 275 km and would take 10 hours. The way is very beautiful starting from Devprayag where the confluence of river Bhagirathi and Alaknanda creates River Ganga. The actual trek would start from the base point which is Dhak/ Tugasi village which is 8050 feet approx. The village is quite nice with the brown mountains alongside with the rock slopes.
There are many break points or Maggie points through the way which are needed for flexible treks. The weather is very frequent as it changes constantly so one must be careful with all the necessities. Snowflakes or snowfalls in climate change are also quite normal in Kuari Pass Trek. The trails in Kuari Pass Trek have snow patches with steep sided rocks scattered everywhere. The pine trees are also covered with snow along with the road. It’s a moderate level trek with an astonishing view uphill ,one can see as they climb uphill.
The first basecamp of Kuari Pass Trek is Gulling which is 9600 feet approx. Although the early morning weather remains much clear as one can see the mountain ranges appropriately.
Brahmatal Trek-
Brahmatal Trek starts from Lohajung which has a height of 7600 feet then to Gujrani which has a height of 9200 feet, following Gujrani next reach point is Tilandi at the height of 10495 feet.
Lastly after Tilandi it will take 5 or 6 hours to reach the Brahmatal Trek whose height is 12250 feet. Along the way to the Brahmatal Trek there are numerous astonishing views of Mt Trishul and Mt Nanda Ghunti including Mt Neelkanth and Mt Hathi Ghoda which is at the top left corner of the Brahmatal Trek at its peak point.The forests add extra beauty to the nature appearance of the Brahmatal Trek.
Beas kund trek:
Dhundi is the starting point of the Beas Kund trek. To reach Dhundi you have to cross Solang Valley. The Solang Valley is a very beautiful valley with lush greenery aside. The actual trek starts from here. There are numerous rivers and beautiful alpine trees in Beas Kund trek. The next day of the Beas Kund trek is from Bakarthatch to direct Beas Kund at the top and then come back to Bakarthatch again to settle at night in the campsite. Then on the third day from Bakarthatch to Manali back in Solang Valley. In Bakarthatch the place is well organised as all the visitors place their camp on this campsite only. Also good fitness is extremely important to enjoy the Beas Kund Lake Trek. The Beas Kund trek is approximately thirteen thousand feet among the Himalayas. During winter the Beas Kund lake trek remains snowy all around. So one must put on their gaiters which will help them to walk fast without bothering the snow getting into the shoes and it is very helpful in the snowy slope hills.
Gaumukh Tapovan trek: Gaumukh Tapovan trek is one of the most famous and beautiful treks in Uttarakhand. It will take around 6 days to complete the Gaumukh Tapovan trek. First you need to travel from Dehradun to Gangotri which is 241 km approx. Gangotri is the base camp of the Gaumukh Tapovan trek. After you reach Gangotri you can explore there. Gangotri looks very beautiful at night. The altitude of Gangotri is 10055 feet approx. The Tapovan or the Shivling mountain is 14600 feet which has a magnificent view. The grasslands are quite beautiful and the weather remains constant.
