How to Make High Bun Up-do Hairstyle for Any Special Occasion

In this article, I am going to give you a brief description on how to make a high bun up-do hairstyle for any special occasion like wedding, prom, or as a bride maid. This is one of the easy high bun up-do that you can make yourself and the result will be amazing if you follow the steps below to create this hairstyle.

Things we need for this hairstyle:

Dry shampoo
Comb
Elastic bands
Bobby pins
Hairspray
Hair accessory

Here are the steps you need to follow to create this hairstyle:

Step-1

The first thing you need to do is just go on with some voluminizing dry shampoo, and spray it on your front hair.

Step-2

Then you need to take a comb and start back combing your hair from the front.

Step-3

Now, what you need to do is you’re going to create four ponytails. For this you need to divide your hair into four from the center and do your ponytails. It would be like first two ponytails will be on the front and other two ponytails will be on the backside of your head.

Step-4

After you are done with your ponytails what you need to do is take your top left ponytail and your bottom right ponytail and you’re just gonna do a knot like you were tying a shoe. It’s a simple basic knot. Once you do that knot, make sure you tie it tight and then you just need to clip the front strand, and then just place a bobby pin right in the center of that knot.

Step-5

Now, you’re going to take your other two strands, so your upper right strand and bottom left strand, and you’re just going to do the same thing. Tie a tight knot right over that first knot, and then just put a bobby pin right in the middle of the knot. At this stage, you can take the clip out from the front section.

Step-6

Now, you need to take the two most left pieces and do another knot. In case, your hair is long, you may need to do another knot. If your hair is short you may just skip this step and do the next step. After making the knot, place a bobby pin right in the middle of that knot.

Step-7

Now, move over to the right side of your head with those two right pieces. You’re going to do the same thing, so just do another knot, tie it tight, and put a bobby pin right in the middle of that knot.

Step-8

Now, take those two right pieces and just twist them over each other, so just creating a twist all the way down. Once you’ve created that twist just pinch and pull it. Bring that twist towards the front of your head and bring it under that ponytail we created in the beginning, and just wrap it around, so that it covers that clear elastic. Make sure you bobby pin it into the place to secure it.

Step-9

Now, do the same thing with the other two strands on the other side of your head. If you find one section is smaller than the other, then you can grab a section of hair from the other section, add it in and then do a twist all the way down. Then follow the same thing just pinching and pulling, and then once you do that, you need to bring it around the bottom of that bun and just bring it across to the other side and bobby pin it into place.

Step-10

Once you are done with all the above steps, you just need to take the excess hair wrap it around your finger like rolling it and then bobby pin it.

Step-11

The most important part of the hairstyle is going around and pinching and pulling all the little loops that you see. We want these to be nice and big and fluffy.

Then just pinch and pull hair all around your head to give it some volume, and pull out some hair from the front to frame your face.
